Balloon Glow

The night before the annual Hot Air Balloon race, St. Louis has the "Balloon Glow". They fire up the balloons and everyone gets to "ohhh and ahhh". We have heard of it with "glowing" reports so when my parents were in town and Katie called to say they were heading down, we thought we would join in this St. Louisy event. Getting there was an hour long fight though the crowds (as everyone else in St. Louis was also there). When I say fight, I mean literally there were elbows being thrown... But once there it was magical . They let the little ones sit on the basket of the balloon for a photo op. She really enjoyed it until the man fired up the balloon which shocked the ....... out of her. Someone didn't think through the thought process of "Hey lets let all the little kids being potty trained squat on the basket and then BAM we will fire up the blazer and see what happens." This guy has no idea how lucky his shoes are that there was a split seco

voting this website of the year...

Thanks to Jacob's cousin Julie and an evening to myself, I had WAY too much fun on this website: www.yearbookyourself.com WAY too much fun... I should state that I definitely don't have permission from Jacob to post this (I didn't have permission for the coconut shot either), but the man makes a really hot dude!!! Only wish I had known him in the 70's, we might have hooked up. And yes I went there... my little material girl! see WAY too much fun....

Scooter

New pink scooter in town... I have been real stickler about the helmet (which she hates). I have made her wear it every time she gets on her bike. I admit it does seems kind of ridiculous as she can literally crawl faster than she can bike. But someday she will be able to bike faster than I can run after her yelling, "Put your helmet on!!" and if she is used the the helmet now... it wont be an issue then. Leaving me the ability to nag at her about something else. Please note the super cute seat that is perfect for Hippo. This is actually why I picked this bike out.... I know ridiculous.

A happy addition

There is a new little boy in the Kettelkamp family. My brother Scott and SIL Jenn just had another beautiful baby boy!!! I couldn't be more excited. The proud big brother A. We are so excited to meet you!!!
