Graduation

Jacob graduated with summer with his MFA from APU. We were very proud of him, particularly... Charlotte. Claire was too, but that milk was really good.

Disney

While in California this summer we headed to the magical land of Disney. Which was truly wonderful with Charlotte, at this age as she really did think that she went to space (Space Mountain), saw a real hippo (Jungle Cruise) and really had tea at Minnie Mouses house. But let me take a moment to talk about Princesses. Because really you cant talk about Disney without talking about Princesses. As a mom of two girls every part of me cringes at the thought of a Princess. I just think this world is tough enough for a girl to grow up in, without having a female role model that gives you the expectations of having the perfect body/voice/ and talking to animals abilities. Teaching you to wait and wait until the perfect prince/man comes to rescue you instead of kicking the evil witch in the nose yourself. Or feeling like for some reason you are underprivileged because your dad works for a living instead of having a rich king for a father so it is just your right to have everything you wan
