Rib Fest

Jacob loves Rib Fest. Every summer St. Louis (although I am fairly certain this is not at all exclusive to the StL) has a Festival downtown. It has multiple (10-20) rib and all things pork vendors that set up their booths. You buy your tickets and then get to sample as many booths as you can afford. Few things make my husband more happy, than a large sampling of ribs. If fact as we can count we have only missed 1 rib fest in the 9 years we have lived in St. Louis.

We took the metro (StL public rail) downtown which meant Charlotte was as happy as Jacob. She loves the train.

Here she is singing "The Wheels on the Bus go round and round..." over and over. I am pretty sure the local commuters were just as amused.... maybe.

The fresh french fries. She got to watch the lady cut the potatoes and put them in the fryer.

The famous lemonade, which is actually just a large cup of sugar with a touch of ice, water and a squeeze of lemon.
And then my mid-west-corn-fed girl, heard her roots calling.

It was a good day.
