Belay... Belay on....

Jacob and I took the day off on Wednesday because we all had dentist appointments. He had wanted to try out Monkey Joe's for a long time and this seemed like the perfect opportunity for a family adventure. Monkey Joe's is this huge inflatable bouncy gym for kids (and parents who think that they are kids). We had always know that Charlie enjoyed climbing, we had no idea! Her form and technique were perfect, almost like her grandpa teaches this stuff or something.... We even taught her to say "Belay" There were also all kind of tunnels and obstacle courses (all inflatable) that she got to crawl through. This is a 20 foot nearly straight up climb. She was just hanging on completely fearless and loving it. I however just about peed my pants. In fact the one and only time that she fell was when she was almost at the top and I couldn't take it anymore and went up after her, and then I lost my grip falling... taking her with me! So I have been "tagged". I have been tagged before and choose to ignore it because I didn't want to do it. Much like I never keep the chain letters going and I don't forward on the forwards, even if it means that I don't love America. But I keep getting tagged...and the guilt is building so I am falling into peer pressure at 30. So here it goes: 7 things you probably never knew about me.... 1. I don't keep chain letters going and I don't forward forwards (it counts, back off) 2. Plain potato chips dipped in cottage cheese ( preferably Prairie Farms and Ruffles Original) is without a doubt my favorite snack. LOVE IT COULD EAT IT EVERYDAY. 3. Admittedly this one may be a little on the gross side but when Jacob has a late class or is out of town I always pick up his dirty clothes from the floor and wear them. What can I say I am a scent person. If I can smell him, I can fall asleep. Right now I have on a pair of boxers from the bathroom floor and

New York in the spring

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of our time in New York with my parents...

the airplane and the 2 year old

Charlie and I had spring break last week. We were both in need of an adventure so we were off to NY to see Nana and Grandpa... Papi... Gramps.... we still don't really have a name for him. We got to the airport early, I didn't want to be running through the terminal carrying a car seat with moments to spare. Turns out we got there too early. Also turns out that I just didn't want to be carrying a car seat through the terminal at all. So we "made camp" by the gate and meet a few friends. Charlie is really good at bringing the party with her, I think she truly believe that the most fun place in the world is wherever she is at the moment. (Also please note that she is wearing a luggage tag... because I am terrified of crowds and a 2 year old that enjoys hide and seek) She also clocked in some community service time by cleaning some windows. That killed about 15 minutes and made us just a little prouder of St. Louis (1 window at a time people). I now realize
