The Suite Life of Charlie and Claire/ Charlotte at the Plaza

30 days in one room. We did it. We embraced it. We are moving out. We learned - an infant can go to sleep with her whole family around her although a door is an awesome thing. -You can get all of your laundry done at the same time in a laundromat although a washer and dryer in your house should never be taken for granted. -A kid can still play forever in the tub with only a washcloth and an imagination. We also learned that we really love each other a whole lot- a.whole.lot. I know this because after this we are still together, and sometimes that is a pretty good indication that you got a good thing. Here are some of our highlights from the month: Charlotte helping me pick out the quarters to use in the laundromat. We had a giant coin jar in the old house and it came in handy... Stuff

Lets say you live in a very small space (like a single hotel room, for example) and you have a choice: 1. have all the "stuff" you need/want to make life easy, but due to that small space you have stacks of that "stuff" everywhere. or 2. you have the bare minimum of "stuff", but you don't have all of your stuff that you usually have to make your life easier/ comfortable. What do you pick? It was a pretty easy choice for us, as too much stuff in a small space gives both Jacob and I a twitch in our eyes. However it has brought some interesting challenges, such as we only have four spoons... Living with 4 spoons (and 4 mouths) means that when Jacob was making some Mac & Cheese yesterday we realized we didn't even have a big spoon to stir, it means doing a lot more dishes several times a day (or at least whenever we want to eat), and it means we CAN NOT lose a spoon because we are careless and left it in a bowl behind the chair (which yes, happene...
