Snow days

Its cold. Crazy cold. We have had snow snow snow. So we needed some fun activities to fend off the cabin fever. Not a hard thing to do with two funny kids. We took a Winter Expedition around the neighborhood. My little Norwegian babies love the cold weather and were so excited to go out an explore all the white stuff. We made snow angels... Then we came back inside, made coco and watched movies... Played with stocking stuffers that I don't want to deal with during normal days... We made homemade sushi... and then warm homemade comfort food...
We made a blanket fort... and read tons of books snuggled inside... We made brownies...And then we played hours of hide and go seek. Charlotte and Clarie are really into hide and seek lately. However, just because you are really into something doesn't mean that you are very good at it. In fact they are both pretty terrible. Charlotte only hides in one spot. Over and over and over. Every time she hides behind the chair. Every time. I thought about giving her some pointers in hide and seek, but here is the thing. Claire can play with her (she is that bad). So it goes like this. Claire and I go to the kitchen and count to 10. Charlotte hides behind... the chair. Claire knows where to find her (cause she is always there) so she runs to the chair. And they both laugh hysterically with a truly deep joy in Claire's discovery. and repeat. Sometimes we will switch, Claire and I will hide. We switch up the hiding spots, but it doesn't matter cause Claire loves it so much that she is in a constant giggle and will yell as loud as she can for her sister "Darlette!!" to find her. There are multiple reasons that I am thankful we are not living during World War 2. Hiding from the Nazi with these two would rank up there at the top. We'd make it about 30 seconds.

You are a rock star mom! I love the pics--Claire looks like a snuggle-bunny.
