This past weekend we went up to Moline for Easter. Jacob's grandmother (Charlie now calls her GG for great grandma) lived there before she moved in with his parents and she wanted to go down to her home church for Easter Sunday. We wanted to go up and spend Easter with them, so when that was added to the promise of a stay at the local Hampton (i.e. pool time!) we were there.
Charlie had a great time in the pool. Along with his family Jacob also has extended family in Moline so we had a wonderful time hanging out with them as well. Bob, Margie, Jim, Mike, Natalie, Rachel, Leah and Adam all came over for a pool/pizza/game party the night before Easter. The evening gave South Beach a run for its money...
Charlie having a deep talk with dad...
Sporting her sexy new arm wings.... Look out boys.
Charlie got to open her birthday present from Aunt Abby and Aunt Sarah... Her first Barbie! She loved it. She loved the hair, she loved the clothes, she loved the tiny shoes that she will most likely eat before the week is out and never see again...
Jacob's family is know for their game time. In fact there can't be 15 minutes of down time without a game of Balderdash or Spoons breaking out somewhere. I of course didn't have a plan for Charlie during game time, guess I thought my little 2 year old would sit quietly by and watch the Settlers game... fortunately Charlie has a Grammy. In true Grammy fashion she had a new set of Mr. Potato head play-doh so Charlie could also join in the fun. Thank goodness for Grammy!!
